Your bot and NeatPortal forum account are able to be linked to each other. This was done in the past for CAPTCHA solving and will now be done for VIP verification and future VIP-only features in the bot. Starting in the near future, you will be required to have your bot and forum account linked in order to use the VIP versions of the bot. This is to verify that you are indeed VIP and not just someone that got the VIP bot from a friend. Linking your bot and NeatPortal forum account together is very easy to do!

Note: This system requires NeatBot version 3338T or later.

Download the latest test build. Download the latest VIP release.

Another Note: if you're using the free public builds, you do not need to complete verification.
Yet Another Note: if you are a competent enough user to not need the step by step.. scroll to the very bottom :P

You're going to need a couple scary looking keys from the forum, here's how to find them.
First, click your user control panel on the top left of the forum

Now click to view your Profile. If this is your first time viewing your profile and/or a newly created account on the forum, please scroll to the bottom and hit "Submit". This will ensure the next stuff is saved for you to start using.

Next, copy your shared secret key and enter it at the bottom of the director under "Custom Params" as -ssk <yourkeyhere>.
After that copy your authentication token and enter it at the bottom of the director too as -token <yourkeyhere>.
The Custom Params box should look something like: -ssk abc123456 -token 7890def.
If you already had stuff in that box, just add the ssk and token to the beginning or end, keeping a space between each part, for example:
    -logintimeout 180 -ssk abc123456 -token 7890def

*IMPORTANT NOTE* The authentication token expires 5 minutes after the last bot verifies with it, or 5 minutes after you last refreshed the forum profile if no bot is using it. If you plan to set this up but restart bots later.. then change your plans. Restart them now or setup later. If your bots launch slowly, make sure at least one bot is restarting/connecting every 5 minutes or less.

*Not really important note* If you want to shut up the "Decaptcher username/password/port/network error" errors you can also add -captchaautosolve 0 to the Custom Params box on the Director to disable the bot's captcha solving routines. No servers have captchas right now, so it's not needed.

Now restart all your bots. DO NOT refresh your forum profile page until your bots are finished restarting. If you refresh it will create a new authentication token. If you do refresh and get a new one, replace the one at the bottom of the Director with it. You can look at the bots near the top of the log window when they log in and see if it worked or not. If it worked you'll see a message in black saying you've linked to the forum successfully. If it failed you'll see a message in red telling you that your token or ssk or whatever was wrong. If it fails, just refresh the profile page and grab a new token and try again.

After all your bots have started up, you can safely refresh the profile page. You should see all your bot's userhashes entered in the bottom. These hashes are found in the bot's Global Settings -> About tab, if you're curious or want to add/remove one manually.
After successfully linking your bots to your forum account, delete the -ssk and -token entries at the bottom of the Director in the "Custom Params" box.

You only have to setup your bots like this one time. Once you're done setting them up, delete the -ssk and -token entries as stated above (and the -captchaautosolve 0 one if you added it too). Enjoy and thank you for supporting NeatBot as a VIP member!

The following is the "too long, didn't read" version of the above Step by Step guide. Use this only if you know what you're doing:

Grab your forum shared secret key from User Control Panel -> Profile, add it as a startup parameter -ssk <key here>
Grab your forum authentication code from same place, add it as a startup parameter -token <key here>
    Restart bots right away.
    Remove both startup parameters.
    Enjoy
