If you've ever wondered where the heck the bot keeps hiding your goals, scripts, npc farming history, global settings, and more... you've come to the right place.

Now, when you have a normal program, and you enter some settings or info or whatever into it and tell it to save, that program will usually ask you where to save, or it will save to the same folder it's in... you know.. how 99% of your computer already works. Well, Flash is a whole other critter. It doesn't play nice like the rest of your programs, it has it's very own location to save stuff to, and that location is buried under a zillion folders and subfolders that you probably didn't even know existed. Your bot is a flash program, therefore it's saving your bot info in this pesky storage folder as .slo files. The location of this storage is further difficult to find because it's different for every operating system and even different versions of Flash!

Please note all locations are still using "#YAEB" as a folder. When we change them to use #NEAT (or whatever) we can make the bot automatically find them at #YAEB and move them, but you will not be able to go back to the YAEB Bot afterwards without manual goal moving on your part. We're giving you guys and gals a chance to decide you really wanna stay here first before we trap you here and hold you forever hostage <evil grin>.

Flash Storage Locations for the Binary Bot

    Windows XP:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

    Windows 7:

    • C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

    Mac OSX:

    • ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#!SharedObjects/<random hex>/localhost/#YAEB

    Linux:

    • ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#!SharedObjects/<random hex>/#localWithNet/#YAEB

(Your mileage may vary on the various Linux distros and setups, feel free to let me know other possible locations and what you use)

Now, within each #YAEB folder you're gonna find server folders. For example if you play on server 123, you'll find a folder named 123. Inside that folder will be more folders with the email of each account you run. For example (on Windows 7, With Chrome and built-in flash plugin): C:\Users\Inanna\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\T6E2T8YZ\localhost\#YAEB\123\inanna@neatbot.rox. Inside that last folder "inanna@neatbot.rox" you will find a bunch of save files. These are you goals, scripts, global settings, farming history, and more.

If you would like to hand over all your goals, settings, etc. for an account to a friend to babysit for you, simply zip up the entire yourname@email.com folder and send to them, then tell them how to place it in the same place on their harddrive. When they run the bot they'll have to type in the login details and server initially, but once it logs in it should find all the goals and such.. and even pickup farming right where you left off. If you want to let a friend babysit all your accounts on a server, zip up the whole server folder. Or even the whole #YAEB folder if it's gonna be for multiple servers.

Flash Storage Locations for the SWF Bot

Google Chrome w/ Built-in Flash Plugin

    Windows XP:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

    Windows 7:

    • C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

IE, Firefox, Chrome with disabled Flash Plugin, or other browser

    Windows XP:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

    Windows 7:

    • C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

Any browser (far as I know) on Mac OSX

    • ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#!SharedObjects/<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

Any browser (far as I know) on Linux

    • ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#!SharedObjects/<random hex>\#localWithNet\#YAEB

Now, within each #YAEB folder you're gonna find server folders. For example if you play on server 123, you'll find a folder named 123. Inside that folder will be more folders with the email of each account you run. For example (on Windows 7, With Chrome and built-in flash plugin): C:\Users\Inanna\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\T6E2T8YZ\#localWithNet\#YAEB\123\inanna@neatbot.rox. Inside that last folder "inanna@neatbot.rox" you will find a bunch of save files. These are you goals, scripts, global settings, farming history, and more.

If you have only used the SWF bot (browser-based bot) and you want to switch to the Binary (neatbot.exe for example on Windows), you are going to need to change a couple things to avoid losing your goals.

If you were using Google Chrome with the Built-in Flash Plugin, type in chrome://plugins into the address bar and hit enter. It will open plugins for you. Click the "+" sign by Details on the right side near the top, to expand the details. Listed below will be all the plugins your browser is using, find the one for Shockwave Flash (mine was listed first!) and click the first two links that say Disable. There should be 3 total. Go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html in a new tab (don't close this page!) and click "Edit locations" then "Add location". Click Browse for Folders and locate the folder where you have your bot. For example C:\Users\Inanna\Documents\NeatBot. It will add this folder to "Trusted" within Flash so that it will save and read from "localhost" storage folder rather than "#localWithNet" storage folder. Find the #YAEB folder in Flash storage using the locations above, and move it from #localWithNet to localhost. The new location should be...

    Windows XP:

    • C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

    Windows 7:

    • C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

    Mac OSX:

    • ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

    Linux:

    • ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#!SharedObjects/<random hex>\localhost\#YAEB

You will notice these new locations are identical to the place the Binary bot stores it's goals and such. That means you can run either the SWF or Binary versions of the bot and switch between them freely, without losing farming history or changes to goals from either.
